Many competitive bodybuilders and physique athlete suffer from low back tightness and restriction in general. It is critical that they are able to hit their poses from multiple angles at any point. That is why many times, we use modalities combined with movement to improve and increase the effect of a singular modality.
In the linked instagram post you can see me working with Vanessa Guzman on her low back restrictions at the same time that I have her actively moving into the positions of greatest resistance. These combined treatment modalities helped her achieve bilateral lumbar extension all while releasing her tightness across her lats and QLs.
